We are located in Northern British Columbia, Canada. We are a small town on the Alaska Hwy. Population 3902. We can often be the coldest place in Canada in the winter and the hottest in the summer. Winter typically lasts 8 months of the year with as little as 6 hours of sunlight per day and as much as 18 hours of sunlight in the summer. There are 2 grocery stores, 1 table service restaurant and a pub, 1 hamburger fast food place and then us, Tim Hortons, Canada’s number 1 coffee and baked goods restaurant.

We are hiring Food Service Supervisor.
This meets the criteria for the Francophone Mobility Program, as it is NOC 6311 (National Occupation Code B), which is considered a skilled position, they will be stepping into an entry level leadership position and all training will be provided, however the candidate will need to have the following experience and be able to fulfill the duties outlined below:

2-3 years of food and beverage experience, food service, food preparation, customer service

Must speak and communicate proficiently in English

Certification or experience in food service administration, hotel and restaurant leadership or related discipline including overseeing, supervising, and training small teams is an asset

The duties of a Supervisor include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food in restaurant and in Drive Thru
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for production
  • Prepare food production charts according to sales volume and forecasting
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Delegate and oversee task and duties performed by Team
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
  • Supervise and check assembly of regular and special orders
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • May plan positioning charts to determine related food and labour needs and scheduling.

Full Time

$13.95 per hour

30-40 hours per week + 4% vacation pay

It is mandatory in BC to acquire BC MSP, the provincial medical and we offer optional extended benefits after 6 months of employment at a reduced cost that can include dental and prescription coverage for those that qualify
