Rejoignez-nous pour une expérience culturelle unique qui vous permettra de vous plonger dans l'art traditionnel du perlage autochtone et de tisser des liens plus profonds avec les Premières Nations. Ximena Londoño, passionnée par le partage de connaissances, vous invite à une série d'ateliers qui allient l'apprentissage, la création artistique et le rapprochement culturel.
Le deuxième dimanche, plongez-vous dans la création d'un attrape-rêves, un symbole riche de sens dans la culture autochtone.
Apprenez à broder un tissu de votre culture, qui sera intégré à une œuvre d'art exposée lors de la Journée d'Accueil de Victoria en mars 2024 !
Profitez de snacks et de boissons offerts pendant les ateliers. Pour une expérience complète, inscrivez-vous aux deux ateliers de la même journée et apportez votre propre déjeuner (possibilité de chauffer votre repas sur place).
Les places sont limitées par atelier, alors inscrivez-vous rapidement pour réserver votre place. Notre objectif est de favoriser un rapprochement avec les peuples autochtones tout en vous enseignant la technique précieuse du perlage autochtone.

Join us for a unique cultural experience that will immerse you in the traditional art of Indigenous beadwork and foster deeper connections with the First Nations. Ximena Londoño, driven by a passion for knowledge sharing, invites you to a series of workshops that seamlessly blend learning, artistic creation, and cultural engagement.
Workshop 3 (9 am - 1 pm) - Create Your Own Dreamcatcher
On the second Sunday, dive into the creation of a dreamcatcher, a symbol rich in meaning in Indigenous culture.
Workshop 4 (1:30 pm - 5:30 pm) - Create Your Own Ethnic Cloth Embroidery
Learn to embroider a fabric from your culture, which will be incorporated into an art piece showcased at the Victoria Welcome Day in March 2024!
Enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages during the workshops. For a comprehensive experience, register for both workshops on the same day and bring your own lunch (heating facilities available on-site).
Space is limited for each workshop, so register promptly to secure your spot. Our objective is to facilitate a closer connection with Indigenous peoples while imparting the invaluable art of Indigenous beadwork.
